1. Unwanted moisture is terrible
There will almost always be some moisture build-up around the compressor area of your air conditioner but it’s imperative to keep this in check. If there’s a small build up of water which is good enough for a couple of sparrows to take a dip, you should inspect for leakages immediately. In the most serious cases, the leak could be refrigerant.

2. Poor air flow

5. Wiring around compressor burns out
If you can perhaps muster some courage and open the main covering, there’s a quick and easy way to check the main component of any air conditioner. The compressor. Any wiring around the compressor that appears burned in the slightest manner needs to be replaced.
When a sealed compressor motor has “burned out”, it means that the internal wiring of the motor has become irreparably damaged. The compressor motor windings may be burned and shorted together or shorted to the metallic shell of the motor. Or perhaps, the windings may have burned and simply become “open” or disconnected. If the motor has burned out in either of these ways it needs to be replaced.
